We got this TV for our living room , and it works great. We use it with LG LHB953 1000-Watt Blu-ray Disc Home Theater In a Box for sound, and a Motorolla DCH 6416 HD DVR from the cable company and conroll it all with a Logitech Harmony One Universal Remote with Color Touch Screen. I have no complaints of the TV. I do not know how the built in speakers are, since I use a AmazonBasics Toslink Digital Audio Optical Cable (6 Feet/1.8 Meters) [Amazon Frustration-Free Packaging] and a Mediabridge Ultra Series – High Speed HDMI Cable – 3ft – Category 2 Certified – Supports 3D & Audio Return Channel to connect it to the Blu-Ray sound system. The only thing I wish the TV had was an auto dimming sensor.
